Yamato Protec's halon fire suppression equipment is installed in the National Art Center

"The National Art Center" opened in January 2007 in the new center for art in Roppongi, Tokyo. Having one of the largest exhibition spaces in Japan, the art center has installed Yamato Protec’s halon fire suppression equipment. In museums where precious art is displayed and a water extinguishing system is used, even though the fire would be extinguished, valuable art pieces would be ruined because of the water. Due to the Montreal Protocol banning the use of halon, this agent is no longer manufactured; however, Yamato Protec actively participates in efforts to recycle halon and utilizes 100% recycled halon. 26 rooms have been armed with 176 tanks of halon in order to protect precious works of art. Instead of releasing halon into the air, we recycle and make best use of it. At the same time, we ensure safety and protect the environment.
